U-CAT 5002 is a latent curing accelerator specially developed for epoxy resin/acid anhydride curing systems. It is a derivative of tetraphenylborate and DBU salt. U-CAT 5002 is uniformly soluble in anhydrides such as methyl THPA and methyl HHPA. It is insoluble in liquid epoxies such as EPIKOTE 828.

· Density: 1.39g/cm ³

· Melting point: 120-140℃

· Solubility: Soluble in methyl THPA or methyl HHPA greater than 4wt. % Stir at 20-50°C.


U-CAT 5002 is used as a latent curing accelerator for epoxy resin/anhydride curing systems. It is used in a variety of applications including:

· Molded plastics

· Composite materials

· Electronics

· Paints and coatings

· Binding agent


U-CAT 5002 has a number of advantages over other potential curing accelerators, including:

· Excellent impregnation of mixed molding plastics

· Uniform cure

· Low temperature curing

· Long application period

· High storage stability


U-CAT 5002 is a hazardous material and should be handled with care. It is a skin and eye irritant and can cause respiratory problems. It should be stored in a cool, dry place and kept out of reach of children.

If U-CAT 5002 comes into contact with skin or eyes, wash the affected area immediately with soap and water. If inhaled, remove the person to fresh air and seek medical attention. If swallowed, do not attempt to induce vomiting. Call poison control or seek medical attention immediately.

 Remain unopened for two years


Storage and Transportation:

Should be sealed, stored in a dry cool ventilated warehouse



200KG/ barrel storage: It is recommended to store in a dry and cool area with proper ventilation. After the original packaging, please fasten the packaging cover as soon as possible to prevent moisture and other substances from mixing and affecting the product performance. Do not inhale dust and avoid contact between skin and mucous membrane. Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited in the workplace. Shower and change after work. Store contaminated clothes separately and use them after washing. Practice good hygiene.
